About the surgery

This practice has a long standing tradition of teaching both medical students and young doctors. We are an approved training practice and you may be offered an appointment with a GP Registrar. These doctors are fully qualified and have had experience in several hospital specialties. They are completing their specialist training as a GP.

From time to time you may be asked to see a medical student, either in conjunction with your doctor, or whilst waiting to see your doctor, when the students will present your case. You will always be informed if your doctor has a medical student with them, with the option to see your doctor alone, if you prefer. We are very grateful to those of you who are prepared to give your time talking to students and when appropriate, allowing them to examine you.
